First Look at ZXPong

BarkinMad Studios is pleased to reveal the first details about ZXPong, the next title planned for the growing ZX Series of retro-inspired arcade games.

Inspired by one of the earliest and most recognisable arcade experiences, ZXPong takes the simple and addictive gameplay that made Pong a classic and reimagines it for modern iPhone and iPad players.

As with other ZX Series titles, the focus is on easy-to-learn gameplay, quick play sessions, and competitive high-score chasing. Players will be able to jump straight into the action while still having plenty of opportunities to improve their skills and compete for leaderboard positions.

ZXPong is being developed using the shared systems that power the ZX Series, including achievements, leaderboards, BarkinMad Coins, and player progression. This allows players to continue building their collection of achievements and rewards across multiple games in the series.

Multiplayer is also a key part of the vision for ZXPong. The current plans include both local and online PvP gameplay, giving players the opportunity to challenge friends and rivals in fast-paced head-to-head matches.

Development is still ongoing, and gameplay, features, and visual elements may change before release. The goal is to capture the spirit of the original arcade classic while adding the modern features and quality-of-life improvements that players expect today.

ZXPong joins ZXSnake, ZXBrick, and ZXSpace as part of BarkinMad Studios' expanding ZX Series, bringing another retro gaming favourite to a new generation of players.
