BarkinMad Studios is introducing BarkinMad Coins, a new gameplay reward system designed to connect games across the growing BarkinMad collection.

BarkinMad Coins are earned simply by playing supported games. Whether completing levels, achieving high scores, unlocking achievements, or progressing through gameplay, players will be able to build a shared coin balance across compatible titles.

The goal is to create a connected gaming experience where time spent playing one game contributes towards rewards that can be enjoyed throughout the entire BarkinMad Studios ecosystem.

Coins can be used to unlock cosmetic content such as skins, colour schemes, themes, and visual customisation options. These rewards are designed to give players additional ways to personalise their experience while keeping gameplay fair and balanced.

Importantly, BarkinMad Coins are earned through gameplay only. They are not sold for real money, have no cash value, cannot be transferred between players, and cannot be redeemed for money or real-world goods.

Support for BarkinMad Coins is planned across the ZX series of games, including ZXSnake, ZXBrick, ZXSpace, and future titles currently in development.

The system is being designed using Apple's technologies to provide a seamless experience across supported devices while allowing players to carry their progress and rewards between games.

BarkinMad Coins represent another step towards building a connected retro gaming universe where every game contributes to a larger shared experience.
