Help Shape StudioDash
StudioDash is being prepared for testing with independent developers and small studios before its wider public release.
The Private Beta is an opportunity to use StudioDash with real apps, revenue sources, websites, analytics, and developer services. Feedback from everyday use will help identify what works well, what needs improving, and which capabilities provide the most value.
A Thank You for Helping Build StudioDash
Active Private Beta participants will receive full Studio access throughout the beta and 12 months of the Studio tier at no cost when StudioDash reaches its public release.
Your complimentary year starts from the public launch of StudioDash, not from the date you join the beta. The time you spend helping test pre-release versions therefore does not reduce your 12 months of Studio access.
At the end of your complimentary year, eligible beta testers will also receive an exclusive opportunity to purchase either Pro or Studio at a discounted beta tester price.
- Full Studio access throughout the Private Beta.
- 12 months of Studio free from the public launch date.
- Beta testing time does not count towards your complimentary year.
- Exclusive beta tester discount on Pro or Studio after the complimentary year.
- No automatic purchase or charge when your complimentary access ends.
Exclusive Beta Tester Purchase Offer
After completing the complimentary year, eligible beta participants will be offered a special discount on their choice of StudioDash Pro or Studio.
The offer is intended as a further thank you for helping test StudioDash before its public release. Redemption will be handled through Apple's App Store purchasing system, with the available offer and redemption details provided to eligible participants.
Using the offer is completely optional. If you decide StudioDash is no longer right for you, there is nothing to cancel and no automatic payment will be taken.
- Choose between a discounted Pro or Studio purchase.
- Offer available to eligible active Private Beta participants.
- Redeem through Apple's App Store purchasing system.
- No automatic conversion to a paid plan.
- Continue with Free if you decide not to purchase.
Why a Private Beta?
StudioDash connects to services that can vary considerably between developers. Different portfolios use different advertising platforms, analytics services, websites, account structures, and reporting workflows.
Testing with a controlled group makes it possible to see how StudioDash performs with real developer businesses rather than relying entirely on a single portfolio or test environment.
Test the Complete Studio Experience
Private Beta participants receive access to the Studio tier so testing can cover the complete StudioDash experience rather than being limited to the features available in the Free or Pro plans.
This gives beta participants the opportunity to test StudioDash with their own portfolio and supported services while helping validate its more advanced analytics, reporting, and business capabilities.
- App portfolio and App Store analytics.
- Revenue from supported app and advertising sources.
- Website, analytics, and search performance.
- Connected service and provider health.
- Historical reporting and performance trends.
- Background data synchronisation on Mac.
- Advanced Studio analytics and business-focused insights.
Test StudioDash with Your Own Services
The most useful StudioDash testing comes from connecting real services and seeing whether the resulting dashboard answers the questions you normally have about your apps and business.
Supported integrations can bring information from app, advertising, analytics, website, and search services together, allowing the beta to test StudioDash against a wider variety of real-world developer setups.
Who Is the Private Beta For?
The Private Beta is intended for people actively publishing or managing digital products who can test StudioDash as part of a genuine development or studio workflow.
- Independent app and game developers.
- Solo developers running their own app business.
- Small development studios.
- Developers managing several apps or games.
- Developers using advertising or other monetisation services.
- Developers managing websites alongside their apps.
- People comfortable testing pre-release software and providing feedback.
What Counts as Active Participation?
The beta rewards are intended as a thank you to participants who genuinely help test StudioDash. You will not be expected to complete lengthy testing programmes or provide constant feedback.
Using StudioDash with your own supported services and providing useful feedback about problems, confusing areas, missing information, or features that work particularly well can all make a valuable contribution.
- Use StudioDash during the Private Beta.
- Test it with real apps or supported services where practical.
- Report bugs or unexpected behaviour you encounter.
- Share useful feedback about the dashboard and workflows.
- Help identify areas that could make StudioDash more useful.
What We Want to Learn
The Private Beta is about more than finding software bugs. It is intended to determine whether StudioDash genuinely makes running an independent app business easier.
Feedback will help determine which information deserves the most attention, where workflows can be simplified, and which integrations and capabilities should be prioritised.
- Whether the dashboard gives you a useful overview of your studio.
- Which information you check most frequently.
- Whether revenue reporting makes multiple income sources easier to understand.
- How useful the App Store and portfolio views are for managing several products.
- Whether background synchronisation keeps information sufficiently up to date.
- Which integrations are most important to your workflow.
- Where StudioDash can reduce visits to separate provider dashboards.
- Any areas that are unclear, slow, or difficult to use.
What to Expect from Beta Software
StudioDash is still under active development. Private Beta versions may contain bugs, incomplete areas, interface changes, or behaviour that changes between releases.
Connected providers can also report information differently or revise previously reported figures. Part of the beta process is making sure StudioDash handles those real-world differences clearly and reliably.
Free, Pro & Studio
StudioDash is designed around Free, Pro, and Studio plans, with different levels of analytics, reporting, and business capabilities.
Private Beta participants will normally receive Studio access so the complete product can be tested. During the beta, you may occasionally be asked to test the experience of another plan to help make sure Free and Pro also provide the intended experience.
What Happens After Your Free Year?
Your complimentary Studio access will not automatically turn into a paid purchase or subscription.
At the end of the 12-month period, eligible beta testers will be able to choose a discounted Pro or Studio purchase through the beta tester offer. If you do not redeem an offer, you can continue using the Free tier and its available features.
- Choose discounted Pro or Studio.
- Purchase only if you want to continue with a paid tier.
- No automatic billing.
- Free remains available if you do not purchase.
How Invitations Work
Private Beta access will be introduced gradually rather than opening StudioDash to everyone at once. This makes it easier to investigate feedback and problems while the product is still evolving.
Participants may be selected to provide a useful mix of portfolio sizes, monetisation models, integrations, and development workflows.
Registering Your Interest
When Private Beta registrations are available, a small amount of information may be requested to help understand your development setup and determine whether the current StudioDash integrations are suitable for you.
- Your name and email address.
- Company or studio name, if applicable.
- Developer or studio type.
- Platforms you publish on.
- Approximate number of published apps or games.
- Services or integrations you currently use.
- StudioDash features you're most interested in testing.
- Why you'd like to participate.
- Agreement to provide useful beta feedback.
Testing with Business Data
StudioDash can connect to services containing commercially important information, so security and privacy remain important during beta testing.
You decide which supported services to connect. Beta participants should only connect accounts they are authorised to use and should continue to use provider dashboards for account administration, billing, permissions, and other specialist configuration.
Your Privacy
Information provided when registering for the Private Beta will be used to manage the beta programme, assess testing requirements, issue invitations, and communicate about StudioDash testing and beta participant benefits.
Registration details will not be published or used for unrelated marketing. More information about how BarkinMad Studios handles personal information is available in the Privacy Policy.
